Local Governments exist to govern for the benefit of the community in their local government area, providing infrastructure, services, sustainable development and the social needs of the community.

Corporate Governance is the framework for achievement of strategic goals and operational objectives.  The purpose of Corporate Governance is to facilitate accountability and responsibility for performance and ethical behaviour.

Right to Information
On July 1, 2009 the Right to Information Act 2009 (RTI Act 2009) and the Information Privacy Act 2009 (IP Act 2009) were implemented by the Queensland Government.

North Burnett Regional Council is making it easier for you to access information about Council. This includes information about our policies, financial reports, public registers and documents relating to our decisions.  We also make appropriate protections for certain information, including personal information.
